It's finally August and we are coming back to school. I can feel the buzzing excitement as the 6th graders come by the library to say WOW! The summer was fun and adventurous.

Welcome Back!

School will start in just a short time and I am so excited that Houston Middle School Library will offer two book clubs this fall. The most requested novel to be read in a book club by the Houston students is...drum roll..."Skeleton Creek" by Patrick Carman. The secoind book club will read one of my all time favorites..."Oh. My. Gods. by Tera Lynn Childs.
Skeleton Creek needs little introduction. If this novel is new to you check it out at your library today. Oh. My. Gods. is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. The first time I had the opportunity to read it was before it was actually published. I received an advance copy at Texas Library Association conference in Dallas, 2008.
Sign up early by emailing me or stop in the library the first week of school. HURRY...space is limited for both clubs.
